March 31, 2026 (PROVIDENCE, RI) — Howard Dean, former Vermont governor, Democratic presidential candidate, and Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), today announced his endorsement of Kim Ahern for Rhode Island Attorney General.

“I have been a friend and supporter of Kim’s for many years, and I have seen firsthand how her commitment to public service has been her compass throughout her career. I know the type of leader Kim is, and even more importantly, I know the type of person she is – someone who stands up for what she believes in and does not back down from a fight. It’s time for a new generation of leadership, and I know Kim Ahern is the right candidate to meet this moment.”
