Press Release

Campaign received contributions from all 39 Rhode Island cities and towns

January 14, 2026 (PROVIDENCE, RI) — The Kim Ahern for Rhode Island Attorney General campaign today announced that, in the final two months of 2025 since launching the campaign, it has raised more than a quarter million dollars. In total, the campaign raised $273,000 in the last quarter of 2025, with nearly two-thirds of all donors living in Rhode Island and representing all of the state’s 39 cities and towns.

“I am overwhelmed by the positive reaction we have received from Rhode Islanders in every community since launching our campaign just two months ago,” said Kim Ahern. “The stakes are high in this election, and I am grateful for this strong early support that is helping ensure we have the resources we need to build a winning campaign.”

Kim Ahern has served as Special Assistant Attorney General under Rhode Island’s past three attorneys general, where she prosecuted over 1,000 cases and brought justice to hundreds of victims. She also served as legal counsel to the past two governors and as the state’s first Chair of the Cannabis Control Commission.
