Kim Ahern Releases First TV Ad Highlighting Her Career Fighting for Survivors of Violent Crimes
“Justice” demonstrates why Kim is uniquely qualified to take on the big fights and win
July 29, 2026 (PROVIDENCE, RI) — Today, Kim Ahern released the first television ad in her campaign for Rhode Island Attorney General. Told from the perspective of a veteran municipal police officer who spent 35 years protecting Rhode Islanders, “Justice” underscores Kim’s unparalleled experience as a criminal prosecutor under Rhode Island’s past three Attorneys General, prosecuting over 1,000 cases in the Special Victims Unit and getting justice for hundreds of survivors.
The ad also demonstrates how this experience makes her uniquely qualified to take on the big fights and win, from standing up to the Trump administration, to keeping illegal guns off our streets, to prosecuting hate crimes and protecting reproductive rights.
“There is no responsibility more essential to the role of Attorney General than keeping Rhode Islanders safe, whether it’s from a criminal in our community or the criminal who currently occupies the White House,” said Kim Ahern. “I’m proud to have spent my career getting justice for survivors of the worst crimes imaginable, and I carry their stories with me in everything I do. The strength I have seen in them is what compels me to keep fighting for the rights of every Rhode Islander, from defending reproductive justice and bodily autonomy to prosecuting hate crimes.”
