Kim Ahern Releases New TV Ad Underscoring Her Unparalleled Prosecutorial Record and Vision for the Attorney General’s Office

“Kim’s Got It” highlight’s Ahern’s proposal for a new Reproductive Justice Unit and her broad support from abortion rights, women’s rights, and LGBTQ+ rights organizations

August 24, 2026 (PROVIDENCE, RI) — Today, Kim Ahern released the second television ad in her campaign for Rhode Island Attorney General. Titled “Kim’s Got It,” the thirty-second ad highlights Kim’s record as a frontline prosecutor who personally prosecuted over 1,000 felony cases – more than every other candidate combined. It continues with Kim discussing her vision for the Attorney General’s Office, including her proposal for a new Reproductive Justice Unit to protect the right to choose for all Rhode Islanders and her commitment to getting illegal guns off the street. The ad concludes by spotlighting Kim’s status as the only candidate in this race endorsed by abortion rights, women’s rights, and LGBTQ+ rights groups, including EMILYs List, Vote Mama PAC, and the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund.

In a nod to Ahern’s first TV ad, “Justice,” this new ad is narrated by the same veteran municipal police officer who spent 35 years protecting Rhode Islanders.
